Moto2's Scott Redding - Official Website ::

Scott now rides for the all new Marc VDS Racing team in Moto2, the class that has replaced GP250.

Moto2 is just one step down from MotoGP, the pinnacle of motorcycle racing. The new class has attracted more teams and riders than it was possible to cater for. The entry list was finally closed at 26 teams and 39 riders, a number that occasionally jumps up by 2 with wild card riders. The quality of teams and riders that have come to the class is quite outstanding with 17 Grand Prix winners, of which Scott is one, and 7 previous World Champions.

Despite being the youngest rider in the class at only 17 years of age Scott seems undaunted by the quality of this opposition. A situation helped by having a team with an exceptional background. Most of the team, lead by Michael Bartholemy, have previously worked in the MotoGP class and with the very top riders in the World.

The season so far has shown that the races in all the 17 Grand Prix running in 12 different countries will be very hotly contested. The first few races have shown that close finishes will be the norm and it will be very difficult for any rider to dominate the series.

Keep an eye on this site for all the latest news of Scott's Moto2 campaign.
