Scott heads to Germany and the Sachsenring circuit this morning where he is looking for a strong performance to offset the disaster of the Catalan GP where he was forced to retire after being involved in the first lap crash.

Scott and team mate Hector Faubel were both left disappointed today, as a first corner crash forced them both out of the Moto2 race at the Grand Prix of Catalunya.

The Marc VDS Racing Team was pleased with Scott's performance in the first free practice in today's opening free practice session at Catalunya, after finishing tenth fastest aboard his Suter MMX Moto2 machine.

Scott will be quite at home at the Montmelo circuit just outside Barcelona here having done many laps at the circuit in his CEV and GPs years on the Aprilia 125 and testing on the Suter MMX Moto2 bike earlier in the year.

Scott had to fight his way through the field from the fifth row of the grid, to take a respectable 11th place in today's Moto2 race at the historic Circuit van Drenthe in Assen.

Problems during qualifying left Scott much further down the grid then expected. He struggled to find a clear space on track during the 45-minute session and will start the race from 20th position. read more ]

After an impressive fourth place for Scott at the British Grand Prix just two days ago, the Marc VDS Racing Team have moved on to the Netherlands for this weekend's race at the Cathedral of Speed that is the Circuit van Drenthe in Assen.
