2011 - FULL GAS IN Moto2

“Scott Redding” and “Full Gas Scott Redding” are registered trade marks of FAB-Racing Ltd.

Scott probably represents the classic climb to motorcycle racing stardom and the following pages will perhaps give an idea of how it progressed for him.  Of course he had the four things without which it probably would not have been able to happen.
1. An abundance of natural talent
2. An enormous amount of support from his family
3. Lots and lots of practice
4. Dedication
Brief resumé of Scott’s path to GPs.

2001 to 2004:
Raced Minimotos from 2001 to 2004 winning several Championships. Also rode Conti bikes in 2003 winning the Conti Cup then changing to Metrakit MiniGP towards the end of 2003. Continued in MiniGP in 2004 riding in, and winning, the FAB-Racing British Championship plus the French open 50 Championship.

2005:
Roding a Metrakit XL-80 in the Spanish “Calypso Cup” series Scott won all 6 rounds of the series plus the non points counting season end Metrakit World final at Valencia.  In the UK he rode the same standard 80cc bike against GP125s at Brands Hatch, Mallory Park, and Cadwell Park producing quite electrifying lap times and running, at worst, mid field.  He certainly embarrased more than a few 125 riders trailing in his wake.

2006:
Following his fantastic results  in the Calypso Cup on his 80 Metrakit in Spain the previous year Scott was offered a place in the the MotoGP Academy which he accepted.  It meant he would ride one of the  Academy Honda RS125 bikes in the  Spanish National Championship, the CEV.  In Spain they call the CEV the “Cradle of Champions”.
