The picture to the left shows Scott at the very beginning of 2008 as he approached the Grand Prix season, so perhaps he can be forgiven the slightly apprehensive look. He certainly needn’t have been worried as the test sessions and first two races saw him running well to the fore against the best GP125 riders in the World.   In fact at the first round in Qatar he made history by becoming the youngest ever rider to qualify on the front row of a GP and then, during the race, becoming the youngest ever rider to break a GP lap record and finally the youngest rider to finish in the first 6 in a Grand Prix !!

The next three rounds saw a downturn in his fortunes with three races on the trot not bringing him a single point.   Certainly not due to his ability, rather a number of misfortunes.   The next two saw, once more, how well he rides with points gained in both.  For sure he will continue to ride towards his goal to be rookie of the year 2008 in the 125 class.
